UMB was looking for a more efficient solution for their employee surveys. The goal was to reduce effort while obtaining more meaningful results.
The Challenge
Making complex surveys simpler
Before introducing Pulse Feedback, UMB conducted traditional employee surveys twice a year using a more complex tool. The existing questionnaire comprised around 80 questions, which meant considerable effort for both participants and evaluation.
- High implementation effort → 80 questions led to participant fatigue
- Complex evaluation → Time-consuming analysis without clear action recommendations
- Complex tool → User-friendliness needed to be improved
The Solution
Focused surveys with maximum impact
With Pulse Feedback, UMB was able to fundamentally optimise their employee surveys. Through collaboration with Pulse, they could significantly reduce effort and focus the questionnaire on a concise ten questions. At the same time, they receive a comprehensive results report including concrete action recommendations as part of the consulting service after each survey. The scores contained within clearly show which areas have development potential and where targeted measures are required. Through analysis of comments, causes can additionally be identified and concrete measures derived.
With Pulse Feedback, UMB can:
- Increase efficiency – Dramatic reduction from 80 to 10 focused questions
- Gain clarity – Comprehensive results reports with concrete action recommendations
- Act in a targeted way – Scores clearly show development potential and need for action
- Implement easily – Intuitive application for all stakeholders
In addition to optimising the employee survey, UMB also introduced the Peer Feedback module for leadership development to enable 360° feedback and systematically support the development of the leadership team.
The Results
Measurable improvements and concrete action recommendations
The introduction of the survey with Pulse has undoubtedly contributed to increased efficiency while creating a valuable basis for discussion within teams. The provided instruments support early identification of relevant topics and targeted, proactive action.
