Pulse focuses on the joint analysis of the results within the team. Based on the feedback, the past period (often 4-6 months) is reflected upon and measures to improve cooperation and the working environment are implemented. Performance and goal achievement are discussed explicitly and implicitly, but always at a team level.
When assessing the performance of employees (often also called performance management), the focus is on a - often annual – discussion between employees and their superiors in which the past period is discussed and goals for the next period are set. Feedback here is usually unilateral, from supervisor to employee.
